Local beer festival fills Boston Manor's walled garden

Independent breweries, local food and live music come to Boston Manor Park from noon on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August. Tickets for the open-air Boston Manor Beer Festival cost £5.50, with each day finishing at 6pm.

Young photographers put Human Nature on show

Gunnersbury Park's Young Curators have turned their photographs of play, nature and belonging into a new free exhibition. Human Nature is open at Gunnersbury Park Museum from 10am to 4.30pm, Tuesday to Sunday, until 30 May 2027; no booking is needed.

Last days of Kew's summer ticket offer

Free sensory garden tour at Kew

Visitors with a visual impairment and their carers can explore Kew through touch, smell and description on a guided walk from Victoria Gate. Garden entry is included free, but places are limited and advance registration is required for the sensory tour.

Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, 11am-4pm

Gunnersbury opens its hidden spaces

Free activities unlock historic spaces around Gunnersbury Park, from kitchen tours and costumed characters to a Young Curators game and heritage crafts. Kitchen tours need advance booking, while most of the Open House and Heritage Days programme is drop-in.

Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 August

Hidden queer histories come to Chiswick House, Times vary by day. Photography, oral histories, interviews and videos share stories from LGBTQ+ Global Majority and migrant Londoners in Chiswick House's Learning Hub. The free Hidden Queer Global Majority Histories exhibition runs 2-8pm Thursday, noon-8pm Friday and Saturday, and 10am-6pm Sunday; booking is required.

Saturday 29 August

Mercedes meet raises money for care leavers, 10am-1pm. Mercedes owners can bring their car to the Duke of London's Coffee & Cake meet at the Brentford Riviera. Display tickets cost £5 plus a 13p fee, with all ticket proceeds going to local charity Cocoon Care After Care; register your number plate when you book the Mercedes-Benz club meet.

John the Piano plays by the river, 5-7pm. The Brewery Tap hosts two hours of live piano music at 47 Catherine Wheel Road. Check the current time on the pub's live music schedule before setting out.

Roadworks and Transport

Little Ealing Lane signals on Thursday: Two-way temporary lights are due on Little Ealing Lane from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday 27 August for Thames Water work.

Northcroft Road signals from Wednesday: Two-way temporary lights are planned on Northcroft Road from Wednesday 2 to Friday 11 September for electricity work.

Great West Road lane closure overnight: A lane closure is due on the Great West Road from 10pm on Thursday 3 September until 5am on Friday 4 September for Transport for London work.

Two architecture traineeships for Hounslow young people

Hounslow Council is funding two nine-month Build The Way traineeships for people aged 18 to 25, including college leavers.
