Free beer festival fills the Homestead courtyard

The Homestead Cafe hosts a free beer festival in Beckenham Place Park on Saturday 4 July. The courtyard event runs from noon to 8pm with beer from London breweries and live music.

Stage and screen songs in Beckenham

South London Singers round off their season with Stage & Screen at Beckenham Methodist Church on Saturday 4 July at 7pm. The programme includes opera choruses and music from West Side Story, The Sound of Music and Oliver; tickets are £15.

Pretty Muddy Kids comes to Beckenham

Children aged 6 to 12 can climb, crawl and slide around Cancer Research UK's Pretty Muddy Kids obstacle course in Beckenham Place Park. Entry is £12, supervising adults go free and fundraising is encouraged.

Summer Disco Ball at the Mansion

Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet brings a 70s and 80s disco party to Beckenham Place Mansion. Tickets are £20 plus booking fee, the event is for over-18s and dancing continues until midnight.

Try orienteering in the park

Dartford Orienteers welcomes beginners as well as experienced runners to its Beckenham event. Courses range from an easy 1.8km route for children and newcomers to a 5.5km challenge; enter by Sunday 19 July to be sure of a map.

Picnic-themed supper club on Croydon Road

Hello Josephine hosts an indoor six-course picnic supper for 18 guests. Tickets are £65, with pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan options available, and booking closes on Thursday 23 July.

Upside Down Records in the courtyard, 5-8pm. Philippe and friends from Upside Down Records play records at the Homestead Cafe. The monthly courtyard session is free and open to everyone.

Friday 3 July

Balearic sounds at the Homestead, From 5pm. The Courtyard Balearicos are on the decks at the Homestead Cafe in Beckenham Place Park. See the organiser's event page.

Sunday 5 July

The Plastic Free Band plays live, From 3pm. The Plastic Free Band plays a free Sunday-afternoon set in the Homestead courtyard. The live music event starts at 3pm.

Monday 6 July

Monday quiz at the Barrel and Horn, 8.30-10.30pm. The weekly pub quiz in Bromley town centre has general knowledge, music, picture and specialist rounds. Entry is £1 per person for teams of up to six; booking a table is recommended.

Copers Cope Road: Two-way signals are in place for Thames Water works until Monday 6 July.

Hayes Lane and Letchworth Drive: Multi-way signals remain on Hayes Lane through Friday 31 July. Letchworth Drive stays closed until Monday 27 July for gas works.

Malmains Way and College Road: Lane closures affect Malmains Way until Friday 10 July and College Road until Tuesday 7 July.

Maple Road: The council road closure continues through Friday 17 July, affecting journeys through Penge.
