Boston Manor crossing plan also reshapes parking
Hounslow Council’s 9 October proposals put a pedestrian-and-cycle crossing south of The Ride, replacing the pedestrian lights to the north. Comparing them with the design consultation reveals extra parking detail: weekday 7am–6pm waiting restrictions near numbers 125–133 and a redrawn morning bus lane. The crossing would connect The Ride to Boston Manor Road’s cycle track. Design feedback closes 25 October; objections to the traffic changes close 30 October, quoting TMO/P053/26. This is not approval to start work.

Event-day parking plans would affect two zones differently
People in the Brentford Station and Brook Road South parking zones have until midnight on Friday to answer two separate council surveys. Both propose controls from 5pm to 10pm on weekday event days and noon to 8pm at weekends and bank holidays. The changes differ: Brentford Station currently has no event-day controls, while Brook Road South would replace its one-hour Saturday restriction. No decision or start date has been set.

Library access proposals come to Brentford
You can discuss Hounslow’s library proposals at a Brentford Library drop-in from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday, the final day of the survey. The council is considering allowing registered members to enter outside staffed hours using self-access technology, alongside better access to study space and computers. Current locations and opening hours would remain available. Which libraries gain extra hours will be announced after consultation; no new Brentford timetable has been agreed.
