Tonight's farm film screening is cancelled
Surrey Docks Farm has cancelled tonight's Sheep, Actually screening because of the forecast hot weather. The event had been due to include a sheep tour and film screening on Thursday 9 July.
Summer Reading Challenge starts on Monday
Southwark Libraries' Summer Reading Challenge runs from Monday 13 July to Saturday 5 September. This year's Read to the Beat theme is for children aged 0 to 11, with stickers, collector cards, new books and library activities planned across the summer.

Thursday 9 July
English+ at Canada Water Library, 12-2pm. Practise English in a free, informal group at Canada Water Library. The session covers everyday language through discussion rather than a formal class. See the English+ session information.
Friday 10 July
Romeo & Juliet at Surrey Docks Farm, 6.30pm. Putney Theatre Company brings an open-air performance of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet to Surrey Docks Farm. Tickets cost £16 for adults and £12 for concessions and should be bought in advance through the farm's Romeo & Juliet listing.
Saturday 11 July
Southwark parkrun, 9am. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate at the free weekly 5k in Southwark Park. First-time runners should register for Southwark parkrun before taking part and bring a scannable barcode if they want a time.
Guided tour of the Brunel Museum, 12.30pm. The Brunel Museum runs a 45-minute guided tour of the Thames Tunnel Shaft and Engine House collection on weekends at 12.30pm. The tour is included with museum admission, which is £2.50 for SE16 and SE8 residents and free for under-16s; check current museum opening and tour details before visiting.
Romeo & Juliet at Surrey Docks Farm, 5.30pm. The second open-air farm performance starts at 5.30pm. Take clothes for the weather and book ahead through Surrey Docks Farm's Romeo & Juliet event listing.
Sunday 12 July
KESA sports sessions at Decathlon, 9-10.45am. KESA runs free or trial sports sessions for young children at Decathlon Surrey Quays. The Southwark Presents listing shows sessions for ages 1 to 8 at 9am; places should be booked through the KESA session page.
Wednesday 15 July
Music classes for under-fives, 10.30-11.30am. Canada Water Library hosts a term-time music session for babies and toddlers, with singing, instruments, movement and props. Booking is essential; email details are on the under-fives music class page.
Thursday 16 July
English+ at Canada Water Library, 12-2pm. The weekly English practice group meets again at Canada Water Library. It is free and drop-in; see the English+ listing for accessibility and travel details.
Dragon Boat Race, 1-5pm. Watch or enter teams racing dragon boats at Surrey Quays Docks for London Ambulance Charity. The organiser says no rowing experience is needed for teams; registration details are on the Dragon Boat Race page.
Roadworks and Transport
Rotherhithe New Road works due to finish on Saturday: Southwark's permitted works on Rotherhithe New Road are scheduled to run until Saturday 11 July, with some carriageway incursion. Allow extra time if you use the road before the weekend.
Raymouth Road closure still runs to 20 July: UK Power Networks' road closure on Raymouth Road remains scheduled until Monday 20 July. Follow signed diversions around Southwark Park Road and leave extra time for local driving trips.
