Canada Estate repairs get new resident checks
Canada Estate's remedial works are still projected to start in December, but newly published minutes from the 19 October housing scrutiny meeting add three checks around the work. Housing officers were asked to improve updates, consider regular newsletters and use trusted local residents to help contractors gain access for inspections and repairs. The commission will also consider inviting residents to a future scrutiny session. The minutes do not confirm the contractor's timetable or turn the projected December start into a firm date.
