Penge Library family survey closes on Wednesday
Bromley is asking residents about plans to move Penge Library to the Kentwood Centre in 2028, with engagement running for two weeks from Monday 18 May. The council's Penge Library relocation page links both the main survey and a separate children and families survey, which close on Wednesday 27 May.
Copers Cope Road closure starts after the bank holiday
SGN works are scheduled to close Copers Cope Road from late Monday 25 May until Sunday 26 July, with delays likely around New Beckenham and Beckenham Junction.
Free under-fives author session is bookable by phone
Children's author Alom Shaha is due at Community Vision Children and Family Centre, Woodbine Grove, on Wednesday 27 May, 2.30-3pm. The free session is for children aged five and under with parents or carers; Bromley says places should be booked by calling 020 8778 2970 and attendees need a completed registration form before entry. Kids Clothesmaking at Beckenham Place Mansion
KHY Sewing School's half-term clothesmaking sessions run 10am-4pm, with fabrics and materials included. Tickets are £70; see the Tuesday class and Thursday class.

Creative Makers and Accessories & More
Kids and teens can make textile projects at the Mansion in the morning, then accessories in the afternoon. The Creative Makers session runs 9.30am-12.30pm and Accessories & More runs 1.30-5pm.

Sewing Machine Drivers Licence for Kids, 10am-12.30pm. A beginner sewing-machine class at Beckenham Place Mansion for children aged 7 and over. Tickets are £40 and pupils do not need to own a machine; see the event page.

Teens Fashion Hub, 8am-5pm. Older siblings with sewing experience can spend the day on fashion projects at Beckenham Place Mansion. Tickets are £75 and places are limited; see the event page.
Thursday 28 May

Roadworks and Transport
- Rectory Road: Road closure is scheduled to continue until late Saturday 23 May.
- Worsley Bridge Road: Bromley works have multi-way signals scheduled until Monday 15 June.
- Wickham Road: Thames Water works have multi-way signals from late Wednesday 20 May to Tuesday 26 May, with delays likely.
- Croydon Road and Blandford Road: Croydon Road has stop/go boards into Thursday 21 May, while Blandford Road has give-and-take control until Friday 22 May.
- Elmers End and Penge-side routes: Elmerside Road has a lane closure, Bromley Road has two-way signals and Hackington Crescent has give-and-take control from late Monday 25 May to Thursday 28 May.
