Beckenham and Penge Pride returns next weekend

Beckenham and Penge Pride is due on Sunday 7 June, with the organisers describing it as a family-friendly community Pride event with performers, stalls and year-round community activity. Last half-term sewing sessions at the Mansion

Beckenham Place Mansion has more KHY Sewing School sessions before the weekend, including Kids Clothesmaking on Thursday 28 May, 10am-4pm, and Kids and teens: Accessories & More listed from Wednesday afternoon. Tickets range from £40 to £70 depending on the session.

Beckenham Library has Lego Club on Saturday

Beckenham Library lists Lego Club on Saturdays, 2.15-3pm, with the library contact number 020 8650 7292. The Bromley libraries activity page also lists Baby Rhyme Time at Beckenham Library on Mondays at 10am and 11am.

Monday 1 June

Roadworks and Transport

  • Copers Cope Road: The SGN closure from the previous issue continues through the week, with disruption likely around New Beckenham and Beckenham Junction.
  • Worsley Bridge Road: Bromley works have multi-way signals scheduled until Monday 15 June.
  • Beckenham High Street: Thames Water works are listed on High Street through Thursday 28 May, with some carriageway incursion.
  • Farnaby Road, Park Avenue and Pickhurst Park: Bromley works are listed on these residential routes into early June, mostly with some carriageway incursion rather than full closure.
