Museum opens every day for a Summer of Water
The London Museum of Water & Steam is now open daily from 10am to 4pm until Wednesday 2 September. Its Summer of Water programme includes bubble discos from 11am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Thursday watercolour workshops from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, and daily crafts. Activities are included with museum admission except the £3.50 scavenger hunt.
Six music days come to Boston Manor Park
The Bridge Presents festival series brings six music days to Boston Manor Park across two weekends. This weekend has My Home Is The Rave on Friday 24 July, Junction 2 x fabric on Saturday 25 July and Junction 2 on Sunday 26 July, with ticketed outdoor events running from 2pm to 10pm. The series returns with Effy & Mall Grab presents Fragrance on Friday 31 July, Innervisions on Saturday 1 August and Junction 2 on Sunday 2 August. Gtech concert feedback stays open until 10 August
Brentford FC has put its stadium-concert exhibition online after two local drop-ins. The proposal is for up to six summer weekend music events a year, with no permanent building work. Read the material and complete the Gtech concert feedback form by Monday 10 August.
Communication board arrives at Watermans Park
Watermans Park Play Area now has a symbol-based board that children can point to while playing to express choices, needs and comments. It is one of 14 new boards across Hounslow, with four more due to follow; read the communication-friendly playground update.

Twelfth Night under the stars at Kew
The Australian Shakespeare Company brings music, mistaken identity and outdoor comedy to Kew Gardens from Tuesday to Sunday. Doors open at 6.30pm, the performance lasts about two hours, and tickets include garden entry. Prices vary; book Twelfth Night at Kew.

Free family fun day in Isleworth
Old Isleworthians Sports Club hosts a free afternoon with a petting zoo, sensory play, climbing wall, bouncy castle, music, dance and sports. A quieter hour runs from noon to 1pm, with SEND activities and support available throughout. Families can turn up or register through the Best Start Summer Fun Day page.
Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 July
Free Brentford Trust challenges at Gunnersbury
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust coaches lead a free park and museum scavenger hunt on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm; booking is required. Drop-in football skills challenges follow from 1pm to 4pm, with another session on Thursday from 11am to 4pm. Children must attend with a parent or guardian.

Thursday 23 July
Free health and wellbeing drop-in, 10am-3pm. More than 30 health professionals are at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre for free checks, advice and support. Residents can speak to nurses, GPs, physiotherapists, mental-health practitioners and lifestyle specialists; the Community Wellbeing Day is open to everyone and no booking is needed.
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July
July Steam Up and train rides, 10am-4pm. The London Museum of Water & Steam runs its historic pumping engines, with the Boulton & Watt engine due at 12.15pm and 3.15pm and the Bull at 2pm. The small Thomas Wicksteed locomotive starts carrying passengers from noon, with rides costing £1 on top of admission. Book the July Steam Up.
Saturday 25 July
Free South Asian music at Bell Square, 3-10pm. ANHAD fills Bell Square and Hounslow High Street with live music and DJs, from pop, soul and R&B to garage and Bollywood samples. The free outdoor line-up includes nikhil, Misbah, Amna Askari and headline DJ Manara; see the ANHAD programme.
Sunday 26 July
Young theatre organists compete live, 2.30-5pm. Young players from around the country compete on the Musical Museum's Mighty Wurlitzer, with the audience helping the judges choose a winner. Tickets are £12 and children aged 16 and under go free; find Young Theatre Organist of the Year in the museum's current events.
Monday 27 July
David Ivory at the Mighty Wurlitzer, 1-2.30pm. Organist David Ivory plays film scores, show tunes and other favourites at the Musical Museum. Tickets for the afternoon Music4you Monday concert are £8, with refreshments available.
Roadworks and Transport
Ealing Road closure continues into next week: Ealing Road remains closed for electricity-network work until Friday 31 July. Allow extra time and follow the signed diversion.
Lane closures around Gunnersbury this weekend: A lane closure is in place on Gunnersbury Avenue until Sunday 26 July, with a second lane closure planned on Gunnersbury Lane from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July. Delays are likely, especially alongside the Boston Manor Park festival traffic.
Lionel Road South closes from Monday: Network Rail plans to close Lionel Road South from Monday 27 July to Friday 7 August. Use an alternative route and allow more time for journeys around Kew Bridge and the stadium.
Signals planned on Boston Manor Road: Multi-way temporary traffic lights are planned on Boston Manor Road from Wednesday 29 to Friday 31 July for Openreach work. Delays are likely while the signals are in place.
