Three nights of outdoor cinema at Gunnersbury
Picturehouse returns to Gunnersbury Park Museum Gardens with 10 Things I Hate About You on Friday 7 August, Jurassic Park on Saturday 8 August and Grease on Sunday 9 August. Doors open at 7pm and films begin at dusk. Tickets cost £20.85 and include £7 to spend on food and drink; see the Gunnersbury outdoor cinema programme.
Water museum opens every day for summer
The London Museum of Water & Steam is open daily until Wednesday 2 September for its Summer of Water programme. The museum is on Green Dragon Lane, Brentford; check the current programme before visiting.
Brentford's only home friendly is next weekend
Brentford play Eintracht Frankfurt at the Gtech Community Stadium at 3pm on Saturday 15 August. Standard tickets now cost £15.15 for adults, £10.10 for seniors and under-25s, and £3.03 for juniors. Check availability and other seating options through the official ticket information.

Make-Do Play brings loose-parts play sessions for families to Boston Manor House over four afternoons. The sessions are free; find them in the Boston Manor House programme.

How steam engines helped clean up London
Author James Douet gives an illustrated talk on steam power, Victorian waterworks and London's sanitary crisis at the London Museum of Water & Steam. Tickets are £5, or £3 for members, and advance booking is required for the evening talk.

Free walk from Boston Manor House, 11am-noon. Join a free community walk starting at Boston Manor House. Arrive ten minutes early at the front entrance, wear suitable shoes and bring a drink; check the current walk listing before setting out.

Outdoor cinema weekend, Doors 7pm; films at dusk. Choose 10 Things I Hate About You on Friday, Jurassic Park on Saturday or Grease on Sunday at Gunnersbury Park Museum Gardens. Bring a blanket, cushion or small chair and book through the Picturehouse programme.
Saturday 8 August
Smashed brings juggling chaos to Bell Square, 1pm and 3pm. Nine performers, 100 apples and a very unusual tea party meet in Gandini Juggling's free 30-minute show. Both performances of Smashed at Bell Square are outdoors and need no booking.

Free family play space at Boston Manor, Noon-5pm. Families can drop into the free play space at Boston Manor House during opening days. Check the venue programme for the next available day before travelling.

Follow Gunnersbury's past through the park, 7am-dusk. Eight large archive photographs stand where the original pictures were taken, showing how Gunnersbury Park has changed. The free Spot The Difference trail runs until Thursday 25 February 2027, with maps available from museum reception.

Lionel Road South closure due to finish Friday: The current closure of Lionel Road South is due to end at 5pm on Friday 7 August. Continue to use an alternative route around Kew Bridge and the stadium until the road reopens.
Weekend signals on Lionel Road North: Multi-way temporary lights are due on Lionel Road North from 8am on Friday 7 August until 5pm on Sunday 9 August for Thames Water work. Allow extra time around Kew Bridge and the stadium.
High Street signals on Saturday: Multi-way temporary lights are planned on High Street from midnight on Saturday 8 August until late that night for Thames Water work. Expect delays while the signals are in place.
