Model steam railway rolls into Brentford
The London Museum of Water & Steam hosts a model steam railway on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August. The museum is open from 10am to 4pm both days on Green Dragon Lane; see the model railway event page before visiting.
Brentford's final friendly comes to the Gtech
Brentford face Eintracht Frankfurt at 3pm on Saturday 15 August in their only home friendly before the Premier League season. Adult tickets are £15.15, seniors and under-25s £10.10, and juniors £3.03; check availability through the official ticket information.

Ertza's free 55-minute outdoor show Otempodiz brings together a dancer, acrobat and juggler. There is no need to book for Otempodiz at Bell Square.

The museum's rotative engines run at intervals from about 11am, including the Boulton & Watt and Bull engines. Tickets are available for the August Steam Up at the London Museum of Water & Steam.

Take on Action Arena in Chiswick, Sessions from 9.30am. Two inflatable obstacle courses fill the Walled Garden at Chiswick House: a 600-foot XXL course for people over 1.2m tall and a mini course for ages 2-7 or children under 1.2m. One-hour sessions cost from £13.50 for XXL and £8.95 for mini; book Action Arena in advance.
Saturday 15 August
Brentford host Eintracht Frankfurt, 3pm. The Bees play their final pre-season match at the Gtech Community Stadium. Allow extra time around Kew Bridge and Lionel Road, and use the club's match ticket page to check remaining seats.
Monday 17 August
Relaxed museum opening at Gunnersbury, 2-4pm. Gunnersbury Park Museum has a dedicated session for neurodivergent children and young people aged 5-25, those with additional needs, and their families. Find the practical information in Hounslow's SEND events guide.

Windmill Road signals start Saturday: Multi-way temporary lights are due on Windmill Road from Saturday 15 August until Monday 7 September for Cadent gas work. Delays are possible while the signals are in place.
Thames Road signals from Monday: Two-way temporary lights are planned on Thames Road from Monday 17 to Tuesday 18 August for Cadent gas work. Delays are likely, so allow extra time through the area.
Boston Manor Road signals midweek: Multi-way temporary lights are due on Boston Manor Road from Wednesday 19 to Thursday 20 August for Cadent gas work. Plan for a slower journey while the works are under way.
