Black Eats lands at Canada Dock

Come hungry for the free Black Eats LDN Takeover from noon to 6pm on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August. The dockside weekend brings together Black-owned food traders, Afro-Caribbean flavours, music and independent businesses.

Dip into Canada Water's pond life

Families can borrow pond-dipping kit and look for aquatic wildlife at the free Discovery Pond Exploration from 11am to 1pm today, Thursday 20 August. The Conservation Volunteers will help children identify what they find; it is drop-in, with access managed if the session fills up.

Five free films float into view

This week's free Floating Cinema Club shows The Princess and the Frog at noon today, Sleepless in Seattle at 9pm on Friday, Mamma Mia! and Grease at 6pm and 8pm on Saturday, then Rush Hour at 6pm on Sunday. Bring a blanket and find a spot beside the stage on Canada Dock.

What's On

Thursday 20 August

Inclusive summer sport, 2-4pm. Disabled children and young people aged 5 to 25 can try free, accessible activities at the final Southwark Inclusive Sport summer session. Families and carers are welcome at Southwark Park Sports and Athletics Centre.

Friday 21 August

Tales from the Thames, 4-4.30pm. See a free outdoor play devised by local teenagers and inspired by the river. Meet at London Bubble Theatre on Elephant Lane before walking to King Stairs Garden for the performance.

Sunday 23 August

Make art among the Green Shoots, 10am-1pm. Families with children up to 12 can make eco-friendly artworks in Southwark Park Galleries' community garden at the free, artist-led Green Shoots workshop. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Roadworks and Transport

Overnight Rotherhithe Tunnel closure: The Rotherhithe Tunnel is due to close from 10pm on Monday 24 August until 5am on Tuesday 25 August. Follow signed diversions and allow extra time; the tunnel's usual size and weight restrictions apply at all other times.

Drummond Road traffic lights: Thames Water works are due to bring two-way temporary traffic lights to Drummond Road from Wednesday 26 August until Wednesday 2 September. Allow extra time if you use the road.

Lower Road overnight lane closure: A lane on Lower Road is due to close from 8pm on Thursday 27 August until 5am on Friday 28 August for council works. Allow extra time through the area.
