World Sevens tickets are on sale for the Gtech
Brentford will host the World Sevens Football London Edition at Gtech Community Stadium from Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 May, with Chelsea, Aston Villa, London City Lionesses, Everton, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester and West Ham United in the line-up. Brentford says junior tickets start at £5, adult tickets at £17, and family tickets are available for the first two days; see the World Sevens ticket update.
Sunday is the Think Well logo deadline
Hounslow secondary-school aged young people have until Sunday 24 May to enter the logo competition for Think Well, the new free youth wellbeing space due to open this summer at Beaver's Children's Centre in Cranford. The new council holds its annual meeting on Tuesday
Hounslow's Annual Meeting of the Council is scheduled for Tuesday 26 May at 7.30pm at Hounslow House, with agenda items covering the elected councillors, Mayor and Deputy Mayor, council leader, Cabinet and committee appointments for 2026/27. Community walk at Boston Manor House, 11am-noon. The volunteer-led walk starts from the Boston Manor House front entrance portico and is listed as free, suitable for any ability and capped at groups of up to 15. - Great West Road: Overnight National Highways closures are listed on the Great West Road from Thursday 21 into Saturday 23 May, then again on Tuesday 26, Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 May, usually in 9pm-5am windows. Build in extra time for late journeys around the A4 and M4 approaches.
- London Road: Openreach works list two-way signals on London Road over Saturday 23 May, followed by multi-way signals from Monday 25 to Thursday 28 May. This is one to watch after the bank holiday for Isleworth and Brentford school-run routes.
- Ealing Road and Bollo Lane: Mobile-network and utility works list multi-way signals on Ealing Road from Monday night into Thursday 28 May, while Bollo Lane has multi-way signals from Monday night to Friday 29 May. Expect slower cross-borough trips towards Northfields and Gunnersbury.
- Rosemary Lane: A Thames Water road closure remains listed through Thursday 21 May, so check before using the cut-through around Brentford and Isleworth.
